- What You Can Expect -

Frankfurt, with its large towers of the old city wall still standing proudly, is a city steeped in history and at its heart is the Hauptwache square, where you can find the breath-taking Hauptwache building. Formerly the headquarters to the city’s Stadtwehr militia and prison, the beautiful baroque building has now laid down its weapons and turned into a delightful cafe. Other sites you can relish in the old city are the infamous mediaeval city hall, the 14th century cathedral of St Bartholomew – once the place where Holy Roman Emperors were crowned as Kings of Germany – and St Paul’s church, known for being the first seat of parliament.

Discover also the wonderfully restored Old Opera House in Opera Square and Zeil Street, also from the 14th century. It is now one of Germany’s most bustling shopping streets.

Contemplate the imposing skyline of the banking district, which towers majestically over the city, home to the European Central Bank and some of Europe’s tallest skyscrapers and office buildings. Also included in this experience are the largest railway station in Europe, the international trade fair grounds and the internationally renowned Museum Embankment, so named for its large concentration of museums along the banks of the Main River. All in all, it will be a journey that will stay with you forever.
